A SENATOR WITH A CLEAR VISION AND REQUISITE CAPACITY – Sen. Osita Bonaventure Izunaso of Imo West Senatorial District

The time for Campaign has gone and elections into the 10th session of the national Assembly has been concluded and disagreements, as fall out of the elections have shifted to tribunals for dispensation of Justice. I am not meant to discuss matters already in court as I wouldn’t want to be accused of contempt of court and sub-judice.
What I intend to discuss is the suitability and competence of the man, Sen. Osita Izunaso, Kpakpando Orlu and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District.
We all solicited that he be voted in first as a seasoned learned personality with deep knowledge of Legislative architecture and highly skilled in the system. Using the barometer for gauging public servants, we discovered that he is a man who, at every point in time, is very sensitive to the need to uphold his integrity and as such has never been found wanting. Irrespective of the sensitive positions he has held, there is no baggage of corruption hanging on his shoulders and there is no insinuation of his being overly or covertly involved in shoddy engagements.
Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso was deemed supremely qualified to be elected Senate President. His being a ranking senator and a senior member of the ruling party and the most senior but may not be the oldest senator from the East, and with deep academic profile and corporate and public service experience, with over 20 years combined engagement in Legislative business, sets him apart as one who is eminently qualified for the post, but the nuances of political permutations made it to swing in a direction dictated by the party hierarchy. As a party man, he stood down to align with the party, a responsible team player.
Taking to the principal purpose of his being in the red Chambers, Sen. Osita Izunaso has hit the ground running with his mesmerizing Legislative skills, sponsoring two motions successfully and contributing intelligently to other motions on debate. He sponsored a motion to address the Ecological disaster of landslide bedeviling Ideato nation and a motion to condemn insecurity in the South East.
The record is exceptional since it is barely less than two months the 10th house got inaugurated and he is already showing glimpses of being a high flier in Legislative business.
With Senator Osita Izunaso in the red Chambers, the fold of Eastern Senators, comprising of 15 senators of the South East and 18 Senators of the South South, can boast of a focal personality who will galvanize them for national discuss and negotiation. This is Central to the development of the Eastern Bloc and the nation in general.
Sen. Osita Bonaventure Izunaso possesses the blend of intellectual, academic, cognate experience, navigable sagacity and candour for effective Legislative undertakings and he is already roaring at the epicentre of Legislative business of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
There is no doubt that a government that has the political will to do things differently and rightly at that will see in him a trusted ally and a courageous associate. He is interested in fostering positive growth and development, a fundamental requirement for development of the polity.
Sen. Osita Bonaventure Izunaso is already setting the right momentum of performance, the right assertiveness and the right entry into the coven of governance to be able to secure the gains expected of the polity which led to his being sent there.
We continue to wish him great strides and accomplishments in the red Chambers as he continues to fly the flag of Imo West Senatorial District and Imo State and ndi Igbo high in the political epicentre of the nation, Abuja. May God continue to grant you the wisdom and courage to do the uncommon things that will impact positively on the lives of constituents and Nigerians.
