The following is the resolution passed by the entire stakeholders of Njaba with respect to the re-election of His Excellency, Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodimma, for re-election as governor of Imo State in November, 2023. The following:
RESOLUTION PASSED BY NJABA STAKEHOLDERS TO ENDORSE HIS EXCELENCY SEN HOPE UZODIMMA FOR REELECTION AS GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE
The entire stakeholders of Njaba Local Government Area comprising of leaders cutting across various sociopolitical affiliations, leadership of autonomous communities, Traditional Rulers, Structural Leaders, Elected Leaders, Appointees, Party Leaders, Youth Leaders, Women Leaders, Leaders across Polling units, Wards and LGA, Decampees from other parties, Market women, Transport Union, Special Citizens, Retirees and associations’, met in Njaba Council Headquarter, Nnenasaa, on 12th July, 2023, deliberated and critically scrutinized the governor’s performance so far and resolved to endorse His Excellency Sen Hope Odidika Uzodimma for re-election in November, 2023.

After a thorough assessment, the stakeholders acknowledged that the governor has performed excellently well in his first tenure in office and therefore resolved that he deserves a second tenure, and further asserted that there is no need to change a performing, winning team. The following are some of the accomplishments of the governor, while we recognize that the list is not exhaustive. They include:
- That the governor has excelled in both procedural leadership delivery and administrative excellence,
- That the governor engaged in frontal measures to address and downgrade insecurity in Imo State thereby restoring peace and viable socioeconomic activities to the embattled state,
- In terms of road construction and rehabilitation, the governor has engendered road infrastructural revolution across the state. The roads include but not limited to: Owerri-Orlu road, Owerri-Okigwe road, Egbu-Emekuku-Mbaise-Umuahia road, MCC road and other urban roads and rural roads have been either completed or at various degrees of completion or ongoing. The high quality roads, provision of solar lighting and drainage systems are significant accomplishments of the governor in road infrastructural revolution.
4.Introduction and use of a new technology called balloon technology for controlling flood and erosion menace within owerri metropolis. This technology has effectively controlled flood and recovered areas threatened by flood and erosion. Also the use of eco-friendly engineering practice in road construction, such as recycling of failed road parts for use in construction, thereby enhancing environment friendly engineering practice,
- Securing approval and commencement of operations to dredge Ogbuide-Orashi-Degema-Atlantic Ocean route for effective sea channel and Construction of seaport at Oguta, for Maritime operations, this is strategic in unlocking Maritime potentials through access to ocean corridor,
- Ongoing Construction of a new Imo International Convention Center (IICC). This is in addition to other major construction works along Ikenegbu/Aladimma corridor and lots more.
- Recovery of Eastern Palm University Ogboko and renaming same to Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, KOU. In addition, there is the recovery of Orient/IBC staff quarters, and other recovered assets of the government.
- Commencement of academic activities at University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo, and relocation of Imo Polytechnic to Omuma and establishment of a new campus at Egbema.
- Approval of Federal Medical Centre Owerri to become Federal University of Technology Teaching Hospital (FUTH, Owerri) and upgrade of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education to Federal University of Education.
- Provision of necessary facilities to restore accreditation of courses at Imo State University, Owerri, leading to graduation of medical students after spending eleven years to study 6 years course, and same with some other courses,
- Double promotion and conversion of civil servants and regular payment of workers salaries and provision of free transport for civil servants,
- Payment of 13th month salary and review of minimum wage of civil servants to N40K and the approval of consequential adjustments as is necessary,
- Reconstruction, restructuring and upgrade and equipping of Imo State House of Assembly complex to become one of the best in the country,
- Embarking on digital skillup and providing various empowerment programs for Imo State, upholding the shared prosperity mantra, such that life in Imo State has become more meaningful,
- Reestablishment of Imo State marketing Board for price stabilization and sales of essential products at affordable prices,
- Linking Imo State to the national political grid, achieving uncommon feat of being the Chairman of Progressive Governors Forum and chairman of South East Governors’Forum.
The motion to adopt His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodimma for re-election as governor of Imo State, was moved by Hon. Chief Ozioma Beneth Ebonine, Ezengwori Njaba, Member Representing Njaba State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly Owerri, and supported by Barr. Chief Chris Duru, Former Clerk of Imo State House of Assembly. When the motion was put to vote, all the stakeholders unanimously voted to support the motion and therefore Njaba stakeholders have resolved and adopted His Excellency Dist. Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodimma, Onwa Oyoko, for re-election as governor of Imo State in November 2023.
Njaba stakeholders hereby adopt His Excellency Most Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma for re-election in November 2023. It will engender continuity of good works and in agreement with the approved Imo charter of equity, which is in line with the stand of other zones that His Excellency Most Dist Sen. Hope Uzodimma should go for second tenure and it is in agreement with Imo Charter of Equity.
