ABBA KYARI GETS N50 MILLION NAIRA BAIL CONDITION
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted suspended DCP Abba Kyari baill of N50million naira.
The Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice James Omotosho granted a N50m bail to Abba Kyari and two of his siblings. His siblings were charged with failure to declare assets to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)
Justice Omotosho emphasized that despite the Kuje Prison jailbreak by terrorists on July 5, 2022, Kyari , who had the opportunity to have absconded, refused to escape, an incident that paved way for over 90 per cent of the inmates to escape freely.
Justice James Omotosho pointed out that all the allegations against him are bailable and he is not a flight risk as the anti-narcotic agency did not controvert the argument. There was no counter submission which is an indication of admission by the NDLEA.
We recall that his two siblings were earlier granted bail by Justice Omotosho.
