Breaking News: FAMILY COURT REMANDS SKIT MAKER, TRINITY FOR ALLEGED SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF A 10-YEAR-OLD

A Family Court sitting at Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State,
on Monday, ordered the remand of a skit maker, Maruf Abdullahi, fondly called Trinity Guy,is been remanded in Agodi correctional facility over alleged sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old girl until Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
This order was given by a Family court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, that Maruf Abdullahi be remanded at Agodi Correctional facility pending when the case would come up for mention.
Also arraigned and remanded are the parents of the minor known as Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29, on two-count charges of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation alongside the skit maker.
The Magistrate, P.O. Adetuyibi did not take the defendants’ plea for want of jurisdiction, saying the case file had been filed and duplicated at the state Ministry of Justice, Ibadan.
Earlier, a formal invitation was extended to Trinity age 31yrs’ by the Oyo State Police Command yesterday, Thursday 22/06/2023 in connection with an indecent viral video where a female minor was sexualized in a opprobrious conversation lacking ethical and moral values.
The initial Investigations revealed the video was a clear abuse of Sec. 32,35 and 36 of the Child Rights Act of 2023 showing sexual exploitation of the minor who was compelled to give disturbing descriptive details of a Male genital.
In defense, Maruf Abdullahi pointed out the involvement of the minor’s parents before, during, and after the production.
As emphasized “that the consent of both parents were sought before uploading the skit on the internet
Consequent on the above, Isiaka Ahmed ‘m’ 40yrs’ and his Wife Rofiat ’29yrs’, both biological parents of the minor are presently being quizzed by the Gender/Juvenile Related Offences Desk of the SCID alongside Trinity.
