IMPLEMENT WHITE PAPER REPORT ON CONTRACTS AND LOOTING WITHIN ONE MONTH…says Sincere Concerned Organization.
A group known as Sincere Concerned Organization Incorporated through their Diroctor General, Mrs Foluke Lemechi, has called for the full implementation of white paper report on contract awards and looting of Imo Assets.
This group made this call during a press briefing in Owerri where they recalled that the shortlived administration of “Emeka Ihedioha set up a commission of inquiry to probe the administration of his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha who plundered the state , through phoney contract awards and dispossessed both private and public lands belonging to Imo people “.
The group noted that despite the fact that Sen. Hope Uzodimma’s government came in to take over from Ihedioha, he found it necessary to allow the judicial panel of inquiry already set up to continue and conclude their work since it was in the interest of the Imo People, not a thing of political party leaning.
The Director General who was represented by Mr. Destiny Nzenwa Innocent expressed their displeasure with the government for its failure to fully implement the recommendations of the White Paper as he said ” By now Okorocha ought to be behind bars “. ” Okorocha has the effontry to spit on the faces of Imo people, especially those who have been impoverished by his rapacious tyranny.”
Mr Destiny on behalf of the Non Governmental Organization, questioned if Okorocha is untouchable and wondered if the arms of the law are too short to reach and sieze him”.
The Non governmental Organization gave the administration of Senator Hope Uzodimma one month to take immediate steps to implement fully the white paper report on recovery of stolen property, especially the more than one hundred and thirty Billion naira being illegally held by Okorocha.
He maintained that they don’t want the victims of Okorocha’s bringandage and open robbery to die before the emperor is brought to justice.
Earlier. Mr Destiny Nzenwa Innocent recalled how Imolites were ecstatic with the present administration when it started implementating the White Paper recommendations by recovering the multi billion naira K.O Mbadiwe University at Ogboko, the Shell Camp Land measuring several hectares of land at works layout but expressed displeasure that the administration of Hope Uzodimma has failed to recover the looted one hundred and thirty Billion naira still in the hands of Okorocha.
The group warned , that at the expiration of the ultimatum, they would take steps to ensure justice is served which would be a deterrent to public office holders as they urged the sate government to ensure that Judiciary brings him to justice as enshrined in the White Paper report.
