The 21st Century concept of leadership demands aligning with national and international protocols, conventions and goals. Governance in any nation or sub national entity is not done in isolation, but properly aligned with global framework of good governance.
The United Nations (UN) developed a framework for measuring governance and the impact through Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), which is couched in 17 pillars.
Etiokwe Njaba developed the 7 SHE-WARI agenda that succinctly aligns with SDG goals, for systemic development of Njaba, a case enclave for peer review within the Nigerian space.
SHE-WARI represents Safety and Security, Health, Education, Women and Youths Empowerment, Agricultural Revolution, Rural Development and Industrialization.
The agenda of safety and security proposed by Etiokwe Njaba agrees with SDG (16), which deals with Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Etiokwe intends to address safety and security matters through institutional process.
Health of the Population comes under the SDG(3), which provides for Good Health and Wellbeing. In the area of education, SDG(4) provides for Quality Education. And in addition to that, Gender Equality (SDG5) and Reduced Inequality (SDG 10).
Women and Youths Empowerment addresses Zero Hunger (SDG2), and No Poverty (SDG1). Agriculture also addresses Zero Hunger (SDG2) and Life on Land (SDG 15).
Rural Development and Industrialization are summed up in SDG (9), Clean Energy and affordable energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), and Climate Action (SDG 13).
SHE-WARI agenda is a masterpiece for integration of SDG goals in the blueprint of development of Njaba Local Government Area.
The vision of Etiokwe Njaba is a downward cascading of the vision of His Excellency Dist Sen Hope Uzodimma Onwa Oyoko, whose intent and governance purpose coded in the shared prosperity mantra entails deepening development agenda in line with global best practices.
Etiokwe Njaba is totally focused on bringing excellent deliverables to Njaba people and the opportunity to extend good stewardship has presented itself. A call for his election as the executive chairman of Njaba Local Government Area is therefore a positive step towards total transformation in line with global best practices.
The people are rejoicing because Etiokwe is coming….. SHE-WARI is the key…
