CHIEF OF STAFF TO SEN. IZUNASO, SIR UCHE NWOSU, BURIES FATHER-IN-LAW, RIP PA DONATUS NWOKE

The Chief of Staff to the distinguished Senator of Imo West Senatorial District, Omekaodimma of Amaike, Sir Uche Macleny Nwosu, bided his father-in-law goodnight in style.

Late Pa Donatus Nwoke, the father of the wife of Sir Uche Macleny Nwosu, Mrs Chika Nwosu (nee Nwoke) was buried on 8th May, 2024, in his country home, Umuma Isiaku, ideato South LGA, Imo State.

Political family members of Kpakpando Organisation thronged out en masse to condole with the family of Nwoke and the Nwosu family over the death of the patriarch.

Pa Donatus Nwoke, according to his profile authored by his family, rose from grass to grace. He started life with standard six Certificate and later learned typing. He experienced several moments of disappointment coming from job losses to various forms of economic downturn until he secured job with French Bank, International Bank for West Africa (IBWA), where he started as a typist and rose to the post of Assistant Manager at his time of retirement in 1999.

Pa Donatus Nwoke was known to be charitable, philanthropic, warm in relationship, a devout Christian and a progressive son of Umuma Isiaku and ideato nation.

Sir Uche Nwosu in his tribute described his late father in-law as a man who brought warmth to his environment and whose guidance brought beacon of strength to all who knew him. He said thus “His presence brought warmth to every room, his laughter echoed through the halls, and his guidance was a beacon of strength for all who knew him”.

Sen. Osita Izunaso described Pa Donatus Nwoke as one who can hardly be forgotten due to his enormous contributions to the development of Ishiogwugwu, Umuma Isiaku in ideato South LGA. He was a dogged fighter who meant well for his people, adding that he will be remembered as well for good upbringing of his children. He prayed for his gentle soul to rest in peace.

Throngs of sympathizers flocked his home to console the family. The burial proceeding was led by the Parish Priest of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Umuma Isiaku.

Sir Uche Macleny Nwosu received friends and associates at Pa Donatus Nwoke burial.

Rest in peace, Pa Donatus Nwoke, 1934 – 2024, 90 years.
