28 FARMERS ATTACKED BY BANDITS IN NIGER STATE…..as they abduct many.

The Kusharki Local Government Area in Niger state has come under attack by bandits with many abducted.

The 28 farmers who were from four communities in Kusharki Local Government Area, namely Shiroro, Rafe, Baikoro, and Munya were said to have been attacked, while many people were abducted, and their whereabout still unknown.

The police public relations officer DSP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the attack but could not ascertain the number of people who were abducted.

A community leader who refused to disclose his identity for security reasons said that the bandits have resumed operations in full force in some of their villages within the local government area making the situation worse, while calling on the state government and security agencies to come to their aid. He maintained that their community is under siege by the bandits for the past two weeks.

Senator Muhammed Sani Musa

Confirming the incident, earlier, Senator Muhammad Sani who is the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial district with Kusharki local government area as part of his constituency , expressed concern over the attack in the four communities in Kusharki Local government council. He frowned at the recent development and condemned in strong words the attack by bandits.
