GOLD FISH, THEY SAY, HAS NO HIDING PLACE – DIST. SEN. OSITA IZUNASO IS A GOLDEN SENATOR THAT SPARKLES ACROSS WEST AFRICAN NATIONS
A clear testimony to the right choice made by the people of Orlu zone in choosing a man with cerebral acumen instead of otherwise, is that our Distinguished Senator has continued to shine where it matters. He remains a cherished bride of honour wherever he goes.
On the floor of the red Chambers, it is altruism that it is not every senator that has earned the privilege of sponsoring motions, bills, contributing to topical issues, and playing significant roles in the proceedings of the legislative business, but our own, Sen. Izunaso has continued to leverage his rapporteur of political experience, intellectual brilliance, legal erudition, and integral carriage of distinct personality, all brought to bear on his assertive disposition in the legislative business.
Playing central role as the Chairman Senate Committee on Capital Market, he is doing extremely well in interfacing with the busines Community to unleash huge opportunities in that sector to grow the Economic ecosystem. Significantly, with the call for recapitalization of banks, his office is central in playing significant role in the capital market.
As a member of Senate Committee on public accounts, Izunaso is central in deliberating on the public accounting and financing processes and budgetary allocation, particularly, the fiscal concept of public financial imperatives.
As a golden senator, he has also been elected into the 6th ECOWAS Parliament, a significant role to represent Nigeria as a legislator in the subregional body. This role goes beyond having Orlu as his Constituency, but Nigeria now as his Constituency.
The better part of it is that the Chairman of ECOWAS now is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso and his other Legislative colleagues elected into this ECOWAS Parliament will be working closely with the president and chairman of ECOWAS, to develop policies and regulations for the West African subregional integration on security, trade facilitation, economic integration and growth. This is significant as a strong linkage of Orlu zone to the centre and to the subregion, with a potential to attract subregional opportunities to the zone and to leverage the security initiatives for betterment of Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria and the west African Subregion.
Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso is now flowing at the political realm where he is most prepared to launch, being a legal luminary, first class product in law, excellent performance in his master’s degree in law, first degree holder in English and linguistics studies, post graduate diploma in Journalism, and Master’s degree in public administration, and lots more. He is a fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR and a member of Nigeria Union of journalism, NUJ.
With compelling record of experience in the public sector and continuous academic growth and seasoned intellectual growth, the distinguished Senator has continued to prepare himself for greater service and greater heights.
Now is the time to bring his exposure and qualifications to bear, to serve not only Orlu zone, but Imo State and Nigeria in the West African Subregion.
Imo West Senatorial District is blessed and did good to have sent our best for the job, and that is why he has continued to hit higher accomplishments bringing reputational feedback to us and making the nation proud.
I will reliably inform us that Dist. Sen. Izunaso has a clear distinct blueprint of development, amazing and ambitious, with which the zone will be duly impacted. He knows the way and we are fortunate to have him.
