Motion: Ezinihitte Mbaise Lawmaker, Hon. Agbasonu, sponsors motion urgens Gov. Uzodimma to Reconstruct Ngor-Okpala/Aboh/Ezinihitte/Ahiazu & Ehime Mbano Road
By Ajuzie chizoba The Lawmaker Representing Ezinihitte Mbaise State Constituency in the State House of Assembly , Hon Henry Agbasonu has called on the state government under the leadership of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma to direct the ministry of works to do rehabilitation of local roads that connect five local government areas in the state before the onset of rainy season.
Hon. Agbasonu sponsoring motion on the floor of the house, last Tuesday, appealed to the governor to look into the roads as a matter of urgency before the entire local governments are cuts off from from accessibility. He also stated that the present condition of Ngor-Okpala/Abor/Ezinihitte/Ahiazu and Ehime mbano road is very poor while the road is very important linking five local government areas. The Lawmaker stated that the importance of rehabilitation of the roads is profound to enhance accessibility particularly as the rains will soon commence.
He opined that the road has been in a very deplorable condition since the time of the former governor of imo state , His Excellency Governor Achike Udenwa and there is no solution till date , he said. Hon
Agbasonu further added that reconstructing the road will earn the governor huge applause because it will enhance mobility for the whole region.
He pleaded with the governor of imo state, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodimma to come to the rescue of the 5 local governments affected by the deplorable situation of the road and the entire imolites who ply the road one way or the other.
He further noted that the commercial activities of the five local governments has been stalled along the areas which the roads traverse due to the deplorable condition of the road bringing a down turn in the local economy of the mentioned areas.
The Honourable member appealed to the governor to take a quick action while the rainy season is around the corner, adding that any moment from now , the road will be totally impassable and described the present condition of the roads as causing hardship to the people of the above areas: Ngor Okpala/Aboh/Ezinihitte/Ahiazu/Ehime Mbano.
Finally, he prayed that the 3R government will do some palliative work before the onset of rainy season in order to mitigate the suffering of the people living in the areas .
