IZUNASO FIGHTS FOR THE STATUTORY APPROVAL OF MEDICAL STUDENTS FROM UKRAINE – Consults with Government of Ukraine for Nigerian returnees

Legislative role is about sensitivity to the needs of the people. The beauty of the legislative Assembly is that matters of concern are daily brought to the knowledge of the legislators for Legislative consideration to proffer solutions.
Sen. Osita Izunaso has continued to prove that he is sensitive to the yearnings of the people and runs an open door policy to ensure that Imo West Senatorial District and Nigerians are not shortchanged under any guise.
Supporting the motion presented on the floor of the Senate, for due recognition of the Certificate of Nigerian students who were in their final year in medical school in Ukraine, 2021-2022, but were either evacuated or returned home as a result of the war in Ukraine, the distinguished Senator argued strongly to support statutory help to be given to them.
According to Dist. Sen. Izunaso, the students were duly refered to Nigerian medical institutions and facilities to complete their programs for the award of MBCh, and after going through the process, should be confered with the requisite degree and license to practice.
Kpakpando Orlu added that he has already had audience with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria and that he supports the Nigerian returnees to receive every assistance that could be possible to integrate. The ambassador conveyed the consent of the government of Ukraine and Izunaso urged his colleagues to ensure that the Nigerian returnees are not made to bear the brunt of what they did not cause.
Evidently, having enrolled in medical colleges in Nigeria for a make-up of their completion phase of medical training, they deserve approval to proceed with their fellow medical graduates and to be issued practicing license.
Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso is working tirelessly to support people friendly bills and motions and he understands the full engagement process of foreign Nationals and how to engage them on bilateral cooperation for strategic benefit to Nigerians.

In a similar vein, Izunaso partners with Big Brain Nija project organisers to float reality television program to promote creativity, ingenuity, industry and cerebral dexterity among youths. This is an answer to the need to churn out a program that will be Educative, catalyze creativity and promote ingenuity, instead of programs that mislead youths into idleness and public show of immorality.
