IZUNASO CONTINUES IN PROFILED NETWORK DEVELOPMENT, STRATEGIC REACH FOR EFFECTIVE GAINS OF ORLU ZONE
Recently, we reported that Sen. Osita Izunaso, the indefatigable Lawmaker representing the 12 LGAs at the red Chambers of the National Assembly, Abuja, held meeting with Amb. Jean Bankole, the then regional director of the United Nations Industrial Development (UNIDO) for West and Central African Subregions.
After that meeting where they sought for ways to impact on the largest Senatorial zone in the country, with total number of local government areas larger than some states of Nigeria, they agreed on working modalities for UNIDO to engage in programs that will benefit Orlu people. That discussion came at the twilight of his stay in Nigeria and now Sen. Osita Izunaso, as a true friend and stakeholder, attended the Send-Forth ceremony of the same ambassador. This is a show of solidarity and it also afforded him an opportunity to transfer the relationship and love of Orlu people to his successor.
Significantly, UNIDO runs a consistent policy in engaging with regions and entities. His report to approve the engagement of UNIDO in the development plan of Orlu zone remains intact as he moves forward, to his next official designation.
Similarly, in a show of commitment to the ideals of friendship, Sen. Izunaso attended the 80th birthday celebration of His Eminence John Cardinal Onaiyekan, the Emeritus Archbishop of Abuja. He was at the event as a special guest of honour and in company of the Senate President, Dist. Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Sen. Chris Ngige, former Minister for Labour and Productivity and other distinguished personalities.
At the birthday celebration, John Cardinal Onaiyekan launched his book titled ” Religion for Peace ” which presents convergence of the supreme being for the worship of Christians and Muslims, as one and only true God.
Through such profiled network development, there is no doubt that Izunaso is positioning Imo West Senatorial District for greater stake and visibility in the country, a requirement for development and strategic engagement.
Dist. Sen. Osita Bonaventure Izunaso has consistently proved that erudition and legislative dexterity are principles that must be considered in order to send anyone to the hallowed Chambers and not a fellow who has poor perception of the nitty gritty of governance and intellectial disposition.
