NIPR HOLDS AGM OF IMO STATE CHAPTER, INDUCTS NEW MEMBERS
The City of Owerri, the Imo State capital played host to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Imo State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Wednesday, 6th December, 2023.
The AGM which held at Legend Hotel, new Owerri witnessed the attendance of veteran and current public relations practitioners.

Hon. Prince Ford Ozumba, Commissioner for Labour, Productivity and Employment, who was recently elected as a council member, and also the leader of NIPR in the south East region, represented the national President.
The event was edifying and colourful, with members and guests visibly happy at an opportunity to gather to celebrate end of year and the AGM.
NIPR Imo State, following the constitutional stipulations held election best described as affirmation. This is because the outgoing executive committee was given unanimous affirmation with a vote of confidence passed on them affirming that their first tenure recorded unprecedented success. As such the executives were returned unopposed to serve another tenure but charged to double their efforts to place NIPR as a foremost professional institute in the state and to be the best chapter in Nigeria.

A set of four new members were inducted into the Noble profession. The newly inducted members include: Prince Eze Ugochukwu, Ochiagha of Nkwerre, SA to the governor on public enlightenment, Mr. Jerry Osuji (JCO), Ochiagha on radio, Mrs Nnenna Okoro, and Amb. Anthony Akalugo, Leadership Sustainability Coach.

Etoodike N’Orsu was praised by the chapter president for his selfless sacrifice that made the 2023 AGM a huge success. He has continued to be a pillar of support to the Noble institute, which he earlier attested to as having helped him to attain incredible heights in the society and across the country.

Professionalism holds the key to the development of the society and public relations practitioners are Central to moulding ideologies and shaping opinions. As such, it requires ethical committement and excellence.
