NOW THAT AKPURUKA HAS HEARD IT CLEARLY – IZUNASO IS THE CHOICE OF ORLU ZONE, CASE CLOSED
It is loud and clear, from the judiciary, that the man who was eminently qualified and the right choice, made by the electorates of Imo West Senatorial District, Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso, Kpakpando Orlu, is the winner of the Senatorial contest of Orlu zone.
Prior to the general elections, it was evident that Sen. Izunaso is the right one who ticks all the boxes but the audacity of courage shown by Chief Charles Ahize, was seen as a wish taken too far.
The Election held without hitches and it was very evident that Sen. Osita Bonaventure Izunaso won convincingly across the 12 LGAs of Imo West Senatorial District. This is the message that the results showed but in the bloated ego of Akpuruka, he felt that the court could be swayed otherwise. He approached Elections Petitions Tribunal claiming that he was the one chosen by Orlu zone. To every pundit and critical Stakeholder, Akpuruka is never a match to Izunaso. This was established by the ruling of the Elections Petitions Tribunal.
Not satisfied with the ruling, Akpuruka still approached the appeal court to upturn the ruling of the trial court, the Elections Petitions Tribunal but the appeal court who is the final authority in the legislative elections matters ruled that Akpuruka failed woefully to present cogent reasons for the upturn of the rulings of the tribunal.
The ruling of the appeal court has affirmed the choice of the people and has brought to an end the legal debacle following the triumph of populism over egoistic pretense.
Çongratulations to the people of Orlu zone and to Sen. Osita Izunaso, specially. This is the victory that is well deserved and an affirmation of the will of the people.
The grassroots have spoken, ndi Eze have spoken, the elites have spoken and the progressives have sounded it clear that Orlu zone only wants the best. And in Sen. Osita Izunaso, is the best choice for the people.
Akpuruka should now close ranks and work for the progress and development of Orlu zone. Now is the time to know who really cares for Ndi Orlu.
