The Clerk and Head, Legislative Services, Imo State House of Assembly, Owerri, Chinelo Adaora Emeghara Esq, has stated that the Staff of Imo State House of Assembly are about to benefit from the health insurance scheme provided by His Excellency Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma, for all Imo State Civil Servants.
Emeghara stated this in a one day enlightenment program held in Ahiajoku Center by the Imo State Ministry of Health and the State Health Insurance Agency, on Formal Sector Social Healthcare Scheme
The clerk insisted that His Excellency deserves to be commended for this laudable program. She pointed out, ” it’s not a small feat for the governor to pay for a full year insurance for workers.”
Gov. Hope Uzodimma was further commended for his giant strides in providing free medical care for citizens, renovation of health centres across the state, securing upgrade of Federal Medical Centre Owerri, to Federal University Teaching Hospital, and lots more.
Chinelo Emeaghara said, ” she is happy that Imo State Civil Servants are at par with their counterparts,” as she cites Anambra State as one of the states with an existing insurance scheme for the state workers. She thanked the governor for the opportunity and privilege that he has afforded workers to enjoy better health while promising that the staff of Imo State House of Assembly will be delighted to enjoy the Healthcare scheme for all civil servants.
