KPAKPANDO FOUNDATION SUPPORTS REELECTION PROJECT OF UZODIMMA, TRANSFERS ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION FROM ABUJA TO IMO STATE
Kpakpando Foundation is set to celebrate the 18th annual anniversary of the foundation on 29th October 2023, in Owerri. The Foundation has the thematic area as focus on the physically challenged or people living with Disabilities.
Addressing the Organising Committee during their Inauguration, the president of the foundation, Sen. Osita Izunaso, stated that the venue of the annual Celebration has a tradition of alternating between Abuja and Owerri during succeeding years of Celebration. Since the last edition which held in 2022 was held in Owerri, it is incumbent that the 2023 edition should hold in Abuja. But following the need for all hands to be on deck, the Foundation resolved to hold the celebration of 2023 edition in Owerri.
Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso remarked that the practice of the foundation is that the venue of Celebration annually is alternated between Owerri and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
He stated that the board of the foundation resolved that the 2023 edition will hold in Owerri. According to the learned Senator, the reason is that the celebration is very close to the gubernatorial Election of Imo State and as such, it wouldn’t be the best option to migrate the whole population of people living with Disabilities and friends and associates out of Imo State within that time. He added that it will also enable all to appreciate the need to show solidarity with His Excellency, Sen Hope Uzodimma, as he runs for re-election as the governor of Imo State.
Barr. Izunaso further emphasized that Kpakpando Foundation is nonpolitical but sensitive to the sociopolitical Dynamics of Imo State and therefore urged all to ensure that the program is a success while wishing His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma success in the coming Election.
The linguist, media titan, public Administrator, lawyer and Political gladiator, knight of the Catholic Church, and president and founder of Kpakpando Foundation, Sen. Osita Bonaventure Izunaso has continued to urge all to support totally the re-election of His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodimma, Onwa Oyoko, adding that he remains the best option for Imo State going forward as Sustainability of transformative governance and quality deliverables is the change instrument to move the state forward. He emphasized that Imo State needs to remain relevant at the centre, belonging to the national ruling party and playing pivotal role among Committee of states.
The chairman of the Organising Committee of Kpakpando Foundation, Chief Cosmas Maduba, Odoebube Isu, who is also the Commissioner for Agriculture, Imo State, assured that everything will be put right to mark the day and to further support the re-election of His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodimma.
Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso is a United Nations award recipient for his commitment to uplifting the lives of the people living with Disabilities (PWD).
