ALLOW SPACE FOR DIALOGUE .. says Clerk as Imo PASAN elects new executives

The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria( PASAN ) Imo State chapter has been advised to allow space for dialogue for better working relationships.

The Clerk Chinelo Adaora Emeghara Esq gave this advice to staff while declaring the election process open in the State Assembly complex in Owerri.

Barr. Chinelo Emeghara maintained that staff should vote for credible, go gathers, and smart officers who would speak and ensure that they get that which is their right. In her words, ” vote for competence and credibility, candidates must give their manifesto which would be used to as a score card.”

Mr Clerk thanked the outgoing executives for the cordial working relationship, being civil in tackling matters that they are not comfortable with and the synergy that existed between the executives and the management, which she said made her job seamless.

She also thanked the management and staff of Imo State House of Assembly for their support and comport as they discharged their duties.

She used the avenue to congratulate the incoming executives of the association and advised them to ensure they do not disappoint the people who voted them and the confidence they have reposed in them.

The National vice President South South Comrade Simeon Reginald eulogies the Clerk for not imposing candidates on the staff which have become the order of the day in some states in the Federation as he encouraged staff to vote for competent representation.

Also , Comrade Promise C. Onwukwe, who is the South East National Vice President, urged the clerk to maintain the good working relationship she has with her staff as he pointed out that the struggle for financial autonomy remains the focus.

In her veledictory speech, the outgoing Chairman Helen Mere , thanked the Clerk, her executives and staff for finding her worthy to serve and for the privilege to showcase her leadership prowess which she will remain eternally great full for the opportunity.

She maintained that her tenure was eventful because she had the support and prayers of the clerk who have stood as a mother figure not only to the executives but for every staff of the assembly.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Anya Chukwuma who emerged as the chairman, thanked members for finding him and other members of the executive worthy to serve in their various capacity, maintaining that they would work hand in glove in ensuring that every anomaly in PASAN Imo state chapter is resolved. He said, ” The presence of everyone here is an indication that we are on the right track.”

as he assured members that the new executives will not disappoint them for choosing us today, “we will fulfill all we said in our manifesto by the grace of God”, ‘ Anya promised’.

He appreciated the representatives of the association that came to witness the process from Abuja and other parts of the state and wished them a safe trip .

Geraldine Ndumechi Vice Chairman
Emere Helen as Secretary, Onyeachusim Chinazor Isaac, Assistant Secretary, Kpadobi Benjamin – Financial Secretary, Oparaocha Casmir .O. – Treasurer,
Agu Emeka Franckline – Publicity Secretary
Others include: Nwamaka Ezebuiro Ogechi – Welfare, Okoli Ogochukwu – Social Secretary, Ngoka Grace Chioma – Internal Auditor, Anumudu Chimebere – Ex-officio, Mbama Sandra Ogechi – Woman Leader, Nnoaham Elthebe as Legal Adviser.

The 5-man Electoral Committee was chaired by comrade Nwanyanwu Ogechi, comrade Ebelogu Chiemeka as Secretary
The executives were sworn – in by Barr. Amaka Nwameme of the legal department in Imo State House of Assembly.
