HON CHIEF SAM OSUJI’S TRIBUNAL VICTORY : A TESTAMENT OF HARD WORK AND MORE TROPHIES FOR THE 3-R LEADERSHIP OF GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA
On Friday, the 29th of September 2023, the Imo State House Of Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Nasarawa state reaffirmed the victory of Hon Chief Barrister Sam Ikechukwu Osuji, Member Representing Isiala Mbano State Constituency at the Imo State House Of Assembly, in the March 18, 2023, House Of Assembly election.
Hon Barrister Sam, of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated the PDP candidate, Mr Pius Omah, and had earlier defeated the Labour Party Candidate.
This victory is a call for Isiala Mbano State Constituency to move beyond political party affiliation and differences and unite solidly behind a leader of substance, in one accord, to uplift the local government, while supporting the focussed and people oriented leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
The reconfirmation is strategic because it will afford the legislator, who now has a breathing space, to focus more on legislation, attraction of constituency projects to Isiala Mbano, oversight and indeed, work on life changing projects that will turnaround the fortunes of the local government, the Federal Constituency, the zone and the state. I say this because it is only an experienced political operative, lawmaker and versatile leader like Hon Chief Barrister Sam Ikechukwu Osuji that understands the workings and operations of both the Executive Arm and the Legislative Arm, to make laws, and to assist in identifying projects and development programs that will benefit humanity, moreso, as a former local government chairman and immediate past Special Adviser to the 3-R Administration of His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma. This victory is a further testament of hard work and more trophies for the 3-R leadership.
Continuing with the case would be inimical to the progress, growth and development of the state constituency. Development don’t occur where there is litigations, and where there is opposition. The lawmaker , therefore, does not need distraction , but our love, prayers and support from all and sundry.
