“O MERE NJABA JUO OYI” IS NOT JUST A TITLE BUT AN EXPRESSION OF FACT OF THE DEEDS OF INDEFATIGABLE LEADER – CHIEF VITALIS UGOCHUKWU OBI

A name is connotative of either a desire or an expression of a fact of life. In Igbo culture, much is attached to the imperative of nomenclature and that is why it is symbolic.
Ugochukwu is a name that is imperative from the birth of the child that his coming into the family is either that God places glory, a diadem upon him or that God uses him to project the family, a mark of greatness for the family. In both dimensions, Ugo means mark of honour and greatness, either for the person, the family or the people.
The coming of Chief Ugochukwu Vitalis Obi as the sole Administrator of Njaba Local Government Area is not by accident, it is rather a divine design to place a diadem of honour on the people.
Before his coming to serve, he already had known name, Oputaobie of Okwudor. That means when anything got tough for the people, his coming onboard would change the Dynamics to provide unassailable success. He was a trailblazer and a change agent for good.
Coming to serve Njaba, the jovial man who is a celebrated socialite known everywhere as Etie okwe Erie okwe is indeed a household brand, a centrifugal convergence for the youths. In him, the youths see a reason to smile again.
Embracing the full charge to stabilize Njaba and restore normalcy, Etiokwe Njaba set out to work, not for himself but for the people. He came in with a humble disposition, an accessible mien and a sense of devotion that is altruistic. He defused the existing societal stratification and integrated in the youth-fold such that they began to associate and relate with him freely. By so doing, Etiokwe conquered the negative aura permeating and changed the narrative to turn the youths to be primary security source of the land. It was a battle of psychology and he won it by influencing their orientation. He did not spare the resources but provided his resources and the available government resources to create some flow of liquidity such that realising that things happen through him, Njaba entered a cruising level.
Etiokwe became a name that thundered through the nooks and crannies of the land, a name that became reassuring to the old, invoking hope to the youths and enabling to the needy.
The greatest weapon against the people was hunger and he opened the stores and offered them succour. He has so much changed the narrative that the agents of destruction saw the need to change their ways and embrace peace.
He became the strong leader, an integral associate and a personality to speak where it mattered, therefore innocent youths were released from the hook of captivity and the spirit of death that lurked around and took lives, flew from the neighborhood of Njaba away.
Indeed ” O mere Njaba Juoyi ” is not a guy-name but an expression of candid pursuit of an intentional commitment to changing the narrative of volatility to peaceful and calm enclave. It is a genuine endeavour to confront the hydra-headed monstrous insecurity to liberate the people from fears and lurking untimely death. It was the coming of a fearless but gentle, courageous but compassionate, selfless but compassionate and truly giving but not miserly nor greedy.
Etiokwe is a brand that has conquered the grassroots with the compassionate commitment to uplifting the quality of living. The women, men and the youth are overtly resonating with anticipation whenever he arrives. Announcement of his donations continue to resonate wherever he appears and justice becomes the watchword whenever a matter is brought before him for adjudication.
O mere Njaba Juoyi is not just a name but a deserving analogy for a man who came, saw and conquered and through him restored confidence of a people and engraved hope in the annals of times. Through him, Njaba people have reinvented the full love and support for the government because the leader who finds Etiokwe worthy to lead is indeed a leader who understands the people and the need. Thank you to Onwa Oyoko for giving Etiokwe to Njaba and Imo State in general.
Njaba LGA is now back to a viable enclave and resonating with boisterous life of economic viability, revived and restored psychologically and now witnessing normalcy as events have continued to pick up.
O mere Njaba Juoyi is not a nickname, it is a name heralded by the forerunner of prophesy in Oputaobie, earlier spoken by the elders of the land of Okwudor Ancient Kingdom. And in his jovial nature, he feels that the Dynamics of cordial existence is in intentional commitment to earn a positive reward …maka na e tinye okwe … E rie okwe…..the man of the people…
