SEN. OSITA IZUNASO FELICITATES WITH ORLU YOUTH, URGE THEM TO SUPPORT THE REELECTION OF SEN. HOPE UZODIMMA
History was made at St. Mary’s Catholic Church field, Amaifeke, Orlu, on Saturday, 23rd September, 2023, as the youth of Orlu zone, comprising of over 80 structures including cultural, sociopolitical and community based structures, thronged out for Orlu youth summit.
The summit with the theme “Rise and Shine” was organised to properly orient the youth of the zone to be able to take their destiny in their hands, eschew all forms of violence, appreciate the journey towards empowerment of the youth and to intimate them with the policies and programs of the government.
Youths gathered from all the twelve local government areas of Orlu zone to participate in the special summit.
In attendance was Sen. Osita Izunaso, who in company of other leaders of the zone including Federal House members, Hon. CaniceMoore Nwachukwu, Ogbaturu Enyi, and Hon. Eugene Dibieagwu, state House of Assembly members, of Orlu zone, Sole Administrators of all the local government areas, commissioners and appointees and other strategic leaders of the zone, thanked the youths for being the strength of the society and admonished them to shun all forms of vices, violence and criminality. He told the youth that development cannot be achieved in an atmosphere of violence and rancour and encouraged the youth to work to restore total peace in Orlu zone.
Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso further stated that the Federal lawmakers of APC from the zone will henceforth galvanize a common front to chart a course for concerns and development of the youths, insisting that the youths are the real leaders at the grassroots and the engine room for governance.
The man of the red Chambers in the national Assembly solicited for their full support for the re-election of Sen. Hope Uzodimma, as the governor of Imo State, arguing that his impeccable record of performance in his first tenure in Douglas House qualifies him for re-election. He added that the chance is glaring for Ndi Orlu to sustain the tempo of development through our brother His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodimma, who, according to him, is already a beautiful bride supported by Imo Charter of Equity.
Sen. Osita Izunaso assured the youth that with him and the other Federal lawmakers working closely, and with our dear governor reelected, the full dividends of democracy will be earned.
Kpakpando Orlu congratulated the youth for organising an excellent youth summit and urged them to take the message of Sustainable development which reelection of Onwa Oyoko will engender, to the grassroots, the centre for political actions.
Sen. Izunaso was flanked by the Chief of staff to the Governor, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, Deputy Speaker, IMHA, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, and other leaders from Orlu zone. Kpakpando Orlu is a leader who is hands-on, being present at necessary events.
