DR UMARU GANDUJE, NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF APC, INAUGURATES CAMPAIGN COUNCIL FOR REELECTION OF GOV. HOPE UZODIMMA – Describes Uzodimma as a man loaded with ideas and a big fish in a big water
Friday, 15th September witnessed the official visit of the National chairman of APC, Dr Umaru Ganduje, and grand commissioning of the new campaign Secretariat of Gov. Hope Uzodimma for his re-election bid.
The national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alh. Dr Umaru Ganduje, arrived Imo State to a rousing welcome, accompanied by the Governor, Sen Hope Uzodimma and National officers of APC.
On arrival, in company of his entourage, Dr Ganduje moved straight to the campaign headquarters located near Dan Anyiam stadium, Wetheral road, Owerri, where he performed the commissioning ceremony of the new Secretariat.
Shortly after the brief commissioning ceremony, he proceeded to the government house where a banquet was held to inaugurate the campaign Council headed by Governor of Cross Rivers State, His Excellency Governor Bassey Otu.
Addressing the mammoth crowd of APC supporters at the banquet, Dr Ganduje, a former governor of Kano state, commended the governor for choosing the edifice, which he said is more than a campaign office, but qualifies to be campaign Secretariat. The National chairman of APC qualified Sen. Hope Uzodimma as a man loaded with creative ideas, the best choice for the state, and a man of multiple capacities with excellent touch in infrastructure, governance, administration and integrative role in the national affairs. He further qualified Uzodimma as a big fish in a big water who is very impactful in the political space. He urged Imo people to vote wisely and vote for Uzodimma to enable the state reap the best in terms of governance and national relevance.
Dr Ganduje announced that APC has set up situation room to handle the three off-cycle elections which Imo State governorship Election is one and assured all of the support of His Excellency, Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the re-election of Sen Hope Uzodimma.
The banquet is a prelude to the flagoff of the campaigns of Gov Uzodimma, scheduled for Heroes Square (Now Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square).
Dr Ganduje was accompanied by a host of national party leaders including the zonal vice chairmen, national woman leader, Gov. Bassey Otu and a host of other dignitaries.
