ETIOKWE NJABA JOINS DEPUTY GOVERNOR, HIS EXCELENCY, PROF PLACID NJOKU TO ATTEND IRIJI UMUNA

The ancient kingdom of Umuna in Orlu Local Government Area, under the rule of His Majesty, Igwe Douglas Okwara, the Okwarachukwu iv of Umuna ancient kingdom, witnessed a mammoth crowd of friends, well-wishers and associates during their 2023 annual Iriji Umuna festival.

Etiokwe Njaba, the sole Administrator of Njaba Local Government Area joined the Entourage of the Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Placid Njoku at the event.

The event started with Thanksgiving mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where the traditional ruler, flanked by his friends and fellow traditional rulers, along with entire Umuna Community thanked God for preserving their land from the reign of insecurity and for ensuring that the youths of Umuna were not involved in the acts of insecurity.

After the mass, the Entourage moved over to the palace of Okwarachukwu, the ancient stool of Orlu zone.

Prof Njoku, while delivering the Goodwill message of the governor stated that Gov. Uzodimma took seriously to heart the invitation of Umuna Community, particularly, from his friend Okwarachukwu iv. But for his pressing state function, he delegated the Deputy Governor to grace the event.

He felicitates with Umuna Community, congratulated His Majesty, Igwe Dr Douglas Okwarachukwu as he marks his 21 years on the throne and prayed for more grace. Prof Njoku reassured Umuna Community of the love of His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodimma for them and urged them to reciprocate his love with voting for his re-election bid.

Etiokwe Njaba, Pastor Chris Mbarie, the sole Administrator of Orlu Local Government Area, and his wife, Mrs Mbarie, were among the many dignitaries who joined the Entourage of the Deputy Governor at the event.

The people of Umuna welcomed Etiokwe Njaba and affirmed that his second home is Umuna, adding that it was while in Umuna that he was nicknamed Etiokwe.
