….Becomes Chairman Senate Committee on Capital Market

The emergence of Sen. Osita Izunaso as the senator for Imo West senatorial district, Orlu zone, is a good omen to the indefatigable people of Orlu.
Orlu Senatorial zone is arguably one of the largest Senatorial Districts in the country, made up of 12 LGAs, heavily populated and could rank with some states like Bayelsa, Ekiti and their likes. Orlu zone can really be argued to be the epicentre of Igbo land. This is because it maintains equidistance with other Igbo states in the region and its dialect is closely of semblance with Central Igbo called Igbo izugbe.
Sen. Osita Izunaso being a ranking senator representing the populous zone that has earlier been represented by Lords like Sen. Arthur Nzeribe, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, and Sen. Owelle Rochas Okorocha, since the inception of the 4th Republic, is showing capacity and courage at the hallowed Chambers.
Emerging as a reelected senator for the zone is a big thing to happen to the region and the country. Following the fact that Sen. Osita Izunaso has been a visible face in the course of debate, having sponsored two motions and supported a good number of motions and bills, he is one of those few senators defining the character of the 10th Senate.
Creating Senate standing committees, the Senate President considered capacities and extant erudition. Sen. Osita Izunaso emerged the chairman Senate Committee on Capital Market. It is only someone who understands the Dynamics of economic metrics that will understand how important the capital market is to the process of deepening democracy.
Sen. Osita Izunaso through the capital market will interface with global organisations and bluechip companies and as well help startups to leverage the capital market for financial fluidity. This is a huge opportunity and a good platform for him to showcase his qualities.
Being a well-read Lawmaker, Izunaso understands that the capital market plays critical roles in redefining the elements of ease of doing business in Nigeria and therefore will open up economic rejuvenation for the nation.
EBUBE AGU N’ECHE AGU is trite because it is only when a man is sufficiently equipped and responsibly involved that he can unleash the potentials of such segments of the economy. We have no doubt that after handling this important committee, many will henceforth begin to aspire for such a committee.
Contributing on the floor of the Senate, Barr. Osita Izunaso made a sensitive input to the discuss on amending Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) act. He recommended that a 4th Executive Directorate position be created and be captured in the act specifically to extend such statutory positions to Imo State, the next in ranking among oil producing states. This is the product of civility, cosmopolitan disposition and understanding of the development that can be catalysed by Legislative dexterity.
Sen. Osita Izunaso is pulling all necessary strings to align Imo State and the south East with the political epicentre such that essential infrastructure and development initiatives will spur into the Eastern Heartland and the east in addition to general consideration of the nation.
Ebubeagu n’echeagu is indeed the fact that the aura of the mighty protects the mighty…. He is using his understanding of the terrain, his posture as a ranking member and learned Lawmaker.
Nigerian Legislature is enriched today because Orlu people looked beyond sentiments to produce capacity, competence and credibility. Our Distinguished Senator is not leaving any stone unturned in the bid to prove this. Indeed we are happy that our voice is thundering high in the red Chambers and the beauty of a thriving capital market will drop down to our entrepreneurs.
