ETIOKWE NJABA SHOWS LEADERSHIP AT THE GRASSROOTS, JOINS YOUTHS TO MARK OGHU FESTIVAL IN COMMUNITIES OF NJABA
Oghu festival is a cultural celebration of many communities in Njaba Area. It is celebrated within July and August every year. It is a cultural sacred season and calls for observance of decorum among people.
Oghu dance is remarkable among youths and the people who throng out to enjoy the unique dance and to cheer up dancers. Attending oghu dance organised by any village or community is viewed as a mark of good friendship and mark of fraternity.
During the time of insecurity in Njaba, people could.not engage in social functions and Celebration of oghu festival was suspended. But now, following the return of peace and calmness to the land of Njaba, communities have resumed their cultural celebration of oghu festival.
Chief Vitalis Ugochukwu Obi, Etiokwe Njaba, the sole Administrator of Njaba Local Government Area has continued to identify with villages of Njaba as they mark their oghu festival. Many villages in Okwudor ancient kingdom, Umuaka ancient kingdom and more, who celebrated oghu festival had Etiokwe and Ezengwori Njaba in attendance.
This is a clear indication of the fact that Njaba is peaceful and social life has fully returned without let.
Oputaobie Njaba takes the lead and as a leader he stays in front while others follow. He has firmly restored confidence of the people who once stayed and lived in fear but now normalcy has returned.
Youths, women and men are all ecstatic about the stability achieved through Etiokwe that in unison, all are saying that he is the right person to lead the people to greater heights.
It has continued to be better by the day as events are speedily picking up in the once beleaguered enclave of Njaba. Special regards goes to His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodimma for giving Etiokwe to Njaba,. He simply is the right choice.
